Météorite 746 : Pleşcoi

Voilà la suivante, une belle petite chute, comme on en voudrait davantage.

Cette météorite pas encore officielle (localisation non divulguée) est tombée en Roumanie le 12 Juin 2008 à 21h45 locale.
C'est un beau caillou de 6,2kg, tombé à 10m seulement d'un témoin. (l'a eut chaud l'gas)

June 12, 21:45 hrs local time. Undisclosed location in Romania. Status-probable Andrei Razvan has reported that a 6.2 kg stone has been recovered. A fireball was seen in three counties by several witnesses. The stone impacted around l0 meters from the finder. Andrei believes it is an ordinary chondrite based on XRF Fe measurements. At the present time little else is known about this fall.

Les infos communiquées en décembre par Andrei sont les suivantes:

A new fall in Romania. After a fireball seen in 3 counties and sonic booms, a stone of 6.2 kg was found in a little impact hole. I've seen the stone, my guess is that it is a L4 based on an
XRF measurment of Fe and a close examination
of the little broken surface. The true analysis will be
performed in January next year. For the moment
this is the only piece found and I dont think it will be
available for the market.
